An Ocala internet café was burglarized and an undetermined amount of cash was reported stolen from the business.
Shortly after 7:32 a.m. Friday, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to the café at 5854 SE Fifth St. in Ocala after a parking lot cleaner noticed the business had been burglarized.
Deputies found no one inside but believe burglary, where cash was taken, occurred sometime overnight.
In 2018, an internet café located in the same strip mall was robbed and the gunman escaped with cash. Recently, there has been a rash of internet café burglaries around Marion County. In the Belleview break-ins, the ATMs have been recovered.
